Opera, Yinge Dance, delicious food, cultural Heritage…The 20th China International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) was probably the most popular event in the past week. After 20 years of development, the fair’s role in promoting global cultural exchanges has never been more significant.
For the first time in its history, the ICIF has set up an International Cultural Trade Hall. This hall focuses on the development of cultural import and export trade, with an exhibition area covering 20,000 square meters. Exhibitors from the UK, Germany, France, New Zealand, Australia, etc. participated in this cultural event.
The Creative China section is another highlight, featuring over 300 creative products from institutions like the Palace Museum.
When high-tech meets culture, what breakthroughs will we see? The GHM Greater Bay Area Hall gave the answer. With 20,000 cultural products from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, this hall showcases high-tech achievements like digital immersive Dunhuang exhibitions, the cyberpunk-style Yingge Dance and multimedia outlets from Guangdong.
In the past 20 years, the ICIF has been a platform not only for cultural exchange but also for cultural foreign trade. This year, the fair has attracted more than 300 overseas exhibitors from 60 countries and regions, showing its ever-increasing global influence.
The fair's contribution to the cultural industry is evident from the generation of trillions of yuan in revenue and the cultivation of a robust cultural ecosystem in Guangdong.
